The Kisan Credit Card gives you a revolving crop-loan limit at your bank. The Centre pays part of the interest, and prompt repayment earns a further rebate — bringing the effective rate down to 4% per year. Tenants, sharecroppers and SHGs/JLGs can also apply.
How to apply
- Take Aadhaar, your land record (or tenancy declaration), two photos and your bank passbook to any bank branch, or apply through a CSC.
- Fill the one-page KCC form; the limit is set from your crop plan and land area.
- Use the card or linked account for inputs, and repay after harvest within the season to keep the 4% rate.
